I DESERVE A BETA KEY ! ! !

I've been a good forum member. I've dutifully averaged 3.5 to 4.0 posts per day... My post topics have generally been constructive and thought provoking (Except for that PSA zinger that backfired in my face... but I digress) I've pandered to the devs... Granted, not the gushing over zealous fawning some have embarrassed themselves with... But they noticed me... I've got a few likes and profile visits to show for it... I've got a healthy "like" count. I've generally behaved myself and played well with others (Which is really a reach for me)... and I've tried to help noobies and gronards alike...

Why the brush off?

I've played all the MW games... I've been to the old Battletech center in Chicago... I even watch that stupid BT cartoon when I was young... Where's my kudo?

Random my butt... I'm being black-listed... I know it. I've felt the way the rest of the community looks at me... I've felt to cold stare of disgust. I've accepted the caustic undertones uttered in my presence...

You all should know that I know that you know that I know.... I wasn't born yesterday.

Okay... I'm willing to play this game... Even though I DESERVE a beta key... for the good of the community and the sham we call fair-play... I will silently wait for my beta key like over half our community members are doing... I will refrain from mentioning I DESERVE A BETA KEY and will cease insisting that "I" receive any special dispensation...

That said... the devs need to know that I know where Canada is... I've got Google, a vehicle that could theoretically make that trip and a passport... I'm like only 825 miles, 100 rest stops and a case of Monster away from you guys... I like camping.

I'm watching you guys...

I'm actually amazed at how well disciplined the closed beta players are - 2000+ players and no leaks on youtube or other video sites that I can find.

This must be a first for such a game, other popular closed betas have vids up within the day.

I think you can chalk this up to two things:

• The maturity level of our average member.
  
• MW:O must kick some serious butt not to have someone go off half-cocked and spew vitriol because the game-play is garbage.

Then you're obviously not all that good at looking/searching for information. There's tons of leaked screenshots, information and some footage. Only problem with leaked footage and screenshots is, that you need to edit it so that it won't show your ID's.

Closed beta is a good start. But like the rest of us not fortunate enough to make the closed, we'll need to wait a while longer, at least until the open beta spawns.

seems the idea is that beta keys are 99% random stuff, not merit. This could avoid strange affairs like someone rapping a cat and asking a key for it

When you are talking about a game whose origin was many years ago, it is safe tos ay the main populace will be more mature then more recent and skill-less kiddie mmo's that give the younger current teenage generation more stupidity than brains (not to rant or insult, but anyone who has played World of Tanks or other general match mmo's know this to be true.)

We would all love to get in beta, personally i would jump at the chance, however i'm not a MW vet, i've played a few MW games and some other Mech games, but i'm no vet. I will patiently wait till open beta when it comes, but i don't know if i really expect to get in closed beta, since there are much more outgoing and veteran members on here. Gl to all, keep the game balanced

"entitlement" seems to be a bit part of many gamers personality. It's just a shame what it does to the community and it often comes from what your poking fun at. People thinking that somehow, because they post in a forum, create a good guild site and say nice things about the game that they should then get a beta key.

Do you think players actually set out to do this and are treating the posts counter as a score?!

Found some MWO beta stuff without even looking for it. Not long after a dev visited our gaming community and asked us nicely (not a euphemism, he was quite nice about it) to stop posting beta material. Since then, there has been almost no leaked material posted. This might be due to our past experiences with NDA stuff (Wargaming....) but whatever the reason, the community is playing nice and I'm glad to see it.

Still though, I wouldn't say there is NO leaked info out there, just that people do have a lot more respect for Piranha and it is showing.
